Dear Neighbors:
And it was indeed the most dramatic rose ceremony ever. I think.
Much better week, stat-wise:
Amazing: 8
Journey: 2 (both Raichel)
Date #1
Solo date with Ashley H. Ashley S. looks heartbroken. She thought she was a shoo-in after getting the very first rose. After giving out 19 more, he apparently forgot about her. So Ashley H. is in a little fluffy gold dress and goes to the...carnival. How does she not know that if there's a date that requires formal wear, it will be provided, "Pretty Woman" style? She's a good sport and lands the rose. Good work!
Pros: She can relate to Brad's daddy issues and she's not afraid to get aggressive with him about The Bad Thing That Brad Did.
Cons: We all know that Brad Did A Bad, Bad Thing. Drop it already. Oh, and she keeps saying everything is "perfact". Oh, dear.
Date #2
Date for Brad...and fifteen women. Seriously. Fifteen. Surprisingly, Emily is on this large date and Ashley S. hasn't heard her name yet. They're filming PSA's for blood donation and some require making out with Brad. One horrible scene had two girls dragging it out so they could keep kissing him when -- out of nowhere -- Melissa broke in and kissed him as well. Oh, you are so outta here!
Pros: Emily scored points without revealing a thing. Michelle gets some birthday alone time.
Cons: Michelle whined and whined and finagled her way into some alone time with Brad. She's gotten annoying already. Raichel and Melissa spent the evening fighting (is that really what you came for?) and Britt extended her scene with Brad far too long. In the end, Michelle got the rose. For that performance, she should have gotten an Emmy.
Date #3
Jackie gets the "Pretty Woman" date: spa, dress, jewelry, dinner at the Hollywood Bowl, serenaded by a band. She got the rose.
Pros: Not sure. I fast-forwarded a lot.
Cons: See "Pros".
Before the rose ceremony is the cocktail party. This one was. On. Fire. Michelle grabbed him right away Melissa looks drunk she picks another fight with Raichel and Raichel tries to get away from her but wherever she goes Melissa follows and keeps the fight going so each one of them gets some alone time with Brad and they use it to whine about each other. And then Allie and Roberto come in (Allie was a mean little hypocrite in her season, so I really don't care about her opinion on anything) and they whine to them about each other thus signing their I Don't Get A Rose warrants but wait -- is that anther rose indeed it is and it's going to Emily who hasn't done anything more than give Brad a very chaste hug. And she renders him speechless. I guess less is more.

Neither Whiner Sister got a rose -- finally! Get rid of the drama where it starts.
Katie, who didn't get a rose, feels a lot like I do. That it's hopeless, that once a woman has tried everything, isn't it time to give up? "The Bachelor" was a last-ditch effort for her. Another girl mentioned going back to being a third wheel. Out of so many women who apply for the show, how is it that the few that remain are already as frustrated about dating as I am -- and they're all at least ten years younger.
Feeling My Age,
